Where to start looking?

We can't really help you. Sightings are rare. People devote their lives to this and have at most a handful of sightings.

Nevertheless, here are some places that are publicly known to have sasquatch encounters (just check the BFRO database, Bigfoot of Stevens County, or talk to locals). None of this is inside information we're claiming to have discovered.

If you're interested in joining us by leaving out long term recorders or camping in areas where sasquatch might be, we can give you more specific suggestions. But these places are worth visiting for those of you who don't want to get any more involved. You probably won't see or hear anything sasquatch related. We've been to these places and usually experience nothing. But there have been experiences here:

  • Noisy Creek campground at the end of the season

  • Tacoma Creek Road, whenever it's accessible

  • Sullivan Creek Road in the spring and fall

  • Cheweah peak, just behind the ski resort. Use the dirt roads or hike.

  • Anywhere north of Priest Lake if you can access it. But it's a vast area filled with grizzlies, so be careful.

  • Squaw Valley Road.

  • The Pend Oreille Wildlife Refuge
